Boy's only story

This was an experience I had gone through while in the hospital, with my father. I was eagerly waiting for the nurse to arrive and discuss the tests that need to be carried out. While I enquired, came to know that there were some procedures that need to be completed by the nurses. I also had a special discussion with the doctor Vikram.

The tests for my father was related to 'prostrate' area and the doctor clearly explained these were the required procedures to be carried before the surgery was performed. Before most of the tests, my father looked tensed, or worried, like unprepared. But I was like a man, full of courage helped him through every step.

When some urine test was conducted and some tube was inserted, after this as a follow-up; we were asked to wait. My father kept saying, 'He's feeling some pain or sensation or discomfort in that area'. Many elderly men were waiting outside and they looked at us both, a daughter with father, giggled for no reason.

It was like they were making fun of this pathetic situation of my father, not realizing the truth they are also a human; an integral body part of a man's health.

In my heart, I kept feeling bad for the suffering that father was into, but that attitude to accept the unexpected situations and that compassion can't be taught is the lesson.
