Rain as a blessing
Like the saying goes; ‘Sometimes we should express our gratitude for the small and simple things like the scent of the rain, the taste of your favorite food, or the sound of a loved one's voice.’ Joseph B. Wirthlin
Recently, I had travelled to the
city side, to meet my aunt, a talented holistic doctor.
It was that time of the year; when it keeps raining so heavily enough to
drench you wet.
Somehow that day, before I had taken leave, I had forgotten
to pick up an umbrella.
The universe had planned to give a sign in the
most unexpected note; no one would believe what followed. The following day, my
Aunt and I, planned to leave together, to attend a Volunteer Camp.
As usual, we
were enjoying the walk towards the main road. The green colored trees, the heavenly sky, the soft white
clouds and the delicate sound of the birds added to my heart's delight. And, to my amazement, in no time; we
both felt a little trickle of rain.
A drop touched my soft cheeks, like soft
melodious music.
Since I had nothing to cover myself. I decided to cuddle my aunt beneath her black shaded umbrella. Surprisingly,
an angel grabbed ‘a Rickshaw’ and placed it next to our crossroad.
We boarded
the rickshaw that took a quick ride and
reached us safe at the camp. Later that day, I had grabbed the opportunity to
arrange the pile of homeopathic medicines.
In some time, I took leave as I had planned
to take the noon bus to my hometown.
I felt the word ‘gratitude’ was what life showed
in a simple way. In our journey, being thankful for all the countless opportunities given are of greatest value.
