Bicycle Walla
20 Jun. 18, Wednesday
Life
can be meaningful, but for some it’s a difficult choice.
Riding a bicycle is
indeed, a good exercise.
But for some, it can be journey of ups and downs, so is life; a harmonious melody of both
good and bad experiences.
Like a coin is tossed, you can never predict what
life can give.
This story is about a man on a bicycle, carrying trash. While I was in a private bus, my eyes kept starring at this person.
I believe, he pushes through life this huge pack, every other day. Just then a
thought arose, ‘Lord, how hard his life could be, if this was the way he lived’.
And imagine the time he would pour in, to collect all of this material,
transport and gain material benefit with this work. Is it not a tough way to
live?
Yes, he did have a good bicycle, but then he can’t really experience the
joy from cycling as this is the work, his karma.
I
don’t think I would meet this person ever, but this ‘bicycle walla’ taught a very thoughtful lesson.
That the
difficulties many experience, are perhaps very less compared to.
Compassion is when you can consider the other as yourself and
understand the suffering they experience.
